Australia Resident Director

Companies in Australia are under the authority of the Australia Corporations Act 2001. All processes involved in setting up a company in Australia are governed by this act. One aspect of Australia company law states that every Australian company (Proprietary Limited) must have at least one director who is resident in Australia. Furthermore, the company secretary must also reside in Australia when forming a company in Australia.

Australia company law requires a Proprietary company to have at least one Australia resident director, a public company requires three directors (two must be resident). Australia company registration requires the following documents to be filed with the Australian Company Registrar: i) notification of appointment of First Directors and Secretary, ii) letter of appointment of First Directors, iii) consent to Act as Director.

Should our clients have difficulties finding a resident director of their own, Healy Consultants offer Australia resident director services to meet the Australia Corporations Act 2001 regulations. Our firm will provide a nominee to act as Australia resident director for an Australia company of any client who requires this service. The nominee will be a director of the company in name only and will not have other business responsibilities.

Healy Consultants' annual Australia resident director fee amounts to US$3,450. In addition, Healy Consultants will collect a US$1,500 refundable deposit from our client.
