Incorporate a Company in Egypt
Foreign investors that wish to incorporate a company in Egypt can accomplish this through the incorporation of a variety of business entities. The Egyptian Government encourage foreign investment by offering certain tax and fee incentives.
1.	Foreign investors wishing to complete incorporation in Egypt without having a permanent presence in Egypt can set up a branch or representative office.
2.	Companies incorporated in Egypt are governed by either i) the Commercial Companies Law or ii) the Investment Guarantees and Incentives Law No.8 of 1997 (Investment Law).
3.	Incorporation in Egypt is a reasonably efficient process, however research is needed as the two different governing laws offer different taxation and investment entitlements depending on the industry the company incorporated falls under.
4.	Tax incentives offered when incorporating in Egypt include: inter alia, 5, 10, even 20 year tax holidays, depending on where in Egypt the company is incorporated.
5.	Other incentives offered when incorporating in Egypt include exemption of certain taxes and duties, exemption from some labour requirements and certain profit and dividend repatriation.
6.	Foreign investors who have incorporated in Egypt and wish to own land can achieve this option through Article 28 of the Investment Law. Article 28 states that the Council of Ministers can grant/transfer state owned land to incorporated companies that operate in listed industries.
7.	Choosing to incorporate a company in a Free Trade Zone Area, especially privately run Free Trade Zones, can do so as long as the requirements of Article 29 are met.
