A Gainful Occupation Permit (GOP) applies to self-employed individuals who intend to incorporate a company in Seychelles, as well as employed staff. The following criteria is aimed at entrepreneurs who plan to incorporate a company in the Seychelles and who intend to apply for a GOP: |

The existing availability of services to be provided by the applicant who plans to incorporate a company in the Seychelles. |

The impact on local businesses by the investor who plans to incorporate a company in the Seychelles. |

The economic and social benefits which the investor who plans to incorporate a company in the Seychelles may bring to the country. |
International Trade Zone Work Permit |

An International Trade Zone (ITZ) Work Permit allows a non-Seychellois worker to enter and remain in Seychelles and be gainfully occupied in the International Trade Zone. The ITZ Work Permit is applied for by the ITZ operator through the Seychelles International Business Authority (SIBA). |
Residence Permits |

When planning to incorporate a company in the Seyehclles, it should be noted that, in general, a person is a Seychelles resident if the applicant: |

The holder of a Residence Permit must reside in the Seychelles for at least five days during each twelve months of the term of the permit. If the Residence Permit holder resides in Seychelles for more than one month in any year, he or she must retain a deposit with a bank in Seychelles or provide a bank guarantee. |

During the term of the Residence Permit, the holder must explore opportunities for contributing to the economic, social or cultural life of Seychelles. |
4. |
The holder of the permit will not be entitled to free medical service in Seychelles and will not be granted any social security benefit. |
5. |
The holder of a Residence permit is not permitted to be employed or self-employed in Seychelles. Should he or she wish to incorporate a company in the Seychelles and engage in any business or profession, a GOP will be required. |
