Switzerland Resident Director

Due to the preferential tax rates offered in different cantons, setting up a company in Switzerland is attractive for multinationals wishing to set up a global headquarters in the country, provided the company's activities take place outside Switzerland

Under Swiss company law, a Swiss GmbH (limited liability company) requires a minimum of two shareholders, while an AG (corporation or joint stock company) requires three. One Switzerland resident director is required for both forms of company.

Should a client have difficulty in finding a Switzerland resident director, Healy Consultants will act as Switzerland resident director to fulfill the Swiss company law regulations. To ensure their assets are fully protected, Healy Consultants will not be a bank signatory nor play an active role in daily corporate activities.

Healy Consultants' annual Switzerland resident director fee amounts to Euro 6,500. In addition, Healy Consultants will collect a Euro 1,900 refundable deposit from our client. This deposit will be held in trust until our client no longer requires Healy Consultants to act as Switzerland resident director. In the unfortunate event our client misuses their Swiss company and flees the country, Healy Consultants (as Switzerland resident director) will be left to face the Switzerland government authorities. Under these circumstances, the client forfeits the refundable deposit and the funds will be used to cover future litigation expenses or liquidation costs incurred by Healy Consultants.
