Special Economic Zone solution in 2024
Since September 2011, Healy Consultants Group assists multi-national Clients’ register their entities in the Special Economic Zone (the “SEZ”) which was implemented and is operated by Cayman Enterprise City (the “CEC”) and is home to over 280 global businesses.
Within two months and with the help of the CEC, our multi-national Clients’ will have i) a wholly foreign owned free zone company and ii) employment visa approvals and iii) physical office premises and iv) multi-currency corporate bank account and v) a free zone trading license
The SEZ welcomes i) internet and IT companies and software developers and ii) companies in marketing, media, and film production and iii) commodities and derivatives companies and traders and iv) biotech and life sciences and v) environmental tech companies and vi) fintech companies and vii) crypto-currency and blockchain companies;
Enterprises that qualify and choose to operate within the SEZ are afforded various benefits including i) a streamlined incorporation process and ii) guaranteed protection of intellectual property and iii) exemptions from direct or indirect taxes and certain import duties and iv) fast work permit approvals. The exemptions from work permit requirements include the need to test the local labour market and otherwise comply with the traditional work permit application process. The employees of SEZ companies are granted five-year work permits.
