International mortgage financing is when a bank loans money for a mortgage in a different currency. Mainstream currencies such as US Dollars, pound sterling or Euros are popular currencies for international mortgage financing, although it is also common for our clients to take out low-interest mortgages in Asian currencies, including Singapore dollars and Japanese yen, to purchase their international property.

Our staff will decide the optimum finance product according to our clients’ exact requirements. Our client will advise us of the amount of funding required, the location of the property they intend to buy and their preferred mortgage currency, if any.

Our international mortgage financing team will source the optimum finance deal according to the requirements above. Our preferred home loan providers are banks located in Asia, which offer low rates of interest.

Healy Consultants will provide our client with a table of international mortgage options, allowing our client to make an informed choice.

Once our client has selected the preferred finance plan, Healy Consultants will coordinate with the bank to clarify mortgage terms and conditions, and prepare an application pack for the bank.

Typically, banks require the following information from applicants:

i) Passport copy;

ii) Signed copy of the property Sales & Purchase Agreement;

iii) Original income documents;

iv) Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) Application Form. Some banks also request a business plan to be prepared, outlining rental income and expenditure. Once the application is submitted, our staff will follow up with the bank to check the status of the application. We provide regular status updates to our clients. Once the mortgage is approved, we advise our client accordingly
